Monday 27th April - bike *** - Around Felixstowe – Sunny periods.

After a couple of nice bike rides to Levington we were not sure what to do today but we needed some shopping from Iceland so decided to make the most of the lovely sunshine, it’s one of the sunniest Aprils on record apparently, nice there is some good news! So, I did my exercises in the garden while Mag had her computer hour, we got a cracking little video from Grandson Arlo then after a sandwich we set off for a bike ride around Felixstowe town. I am in the progress of painting Suffolk red with my gps tracks so wanted to go on roads we haven’t been on before! So we spent an hour or so riding around the quiet roads of Felixstowe with many fine houses with the highlight being the Church of St. Peter & St Paul which looked very old with an impressive graveyard too! Also, we found a stall giving away plants and as Mag was on her town bike, she soon put a pot in the basket! Then all was left was to brave Iceland and avoid as many people as possible but you still get the groups of men shopping as a three like nothing is wrong blocking the whole aisle! Then home to relax with a cuppa. Looks like rain hopefully for tomorrow as we are in desperate need of some and it gives us a chance to test our new rainwater diverter:)
